Ashante is a 6th grade teacher who loves and values Black culture. A San Franciscan native, Ashante has been living in Oakland for the past 10 years. She believes in the significance of celebrating Black heritage, enjoys reading, eating and just hanging out with family and friends. Ashante is looking forward to connecting with Black chefs, businesses and restaurants and in honoring Black excellence.
