Not too many restaurants feel like home from the very first moment you step into them. It takes a special blend of care, spice, and ambiance to create that level of comfort. It is one of the reasons why we had to feature Cafe Romanat as one of the first restaurants on our Black Food Tour.
It is a location that has served us for many moons, birthdays, meetings, dates, and study sessions over the past five years. And while their traditional coffee ceremonies may be temporarily paused, it will forever be a place we return to time and time again. It has bared witness to our many laughs, anxieties, frustrations, appetites, and innovations, and has always been a place where we leave feeling more filled than anything else.
Managing Through Covid:
During this season, Cafe Romanat has shifted into a take-out only restaurant with service on Tuesdays-Fridays 5-10pm and Weekends from 11:30-10pm. Orders can be placed by phone or through food delivery apps like Eat24 or Caviar.
